I’m a big comic book, fantasy and sci-fi geek in case you didn’t know. (This pic of me and my BFF Chewbecca should prove that.) So needless to say I’m a tad bit excited for the Avengers movie that comes out next week! I’ve also recently gotten into the insanely amazing Game of Thrones series, both the books by George R.R. Martin and the no-holds-barred HBO series. Great stuff! If you liked Lord of the Rings, definitely check it out.
Without going too into Game of Thrones, I’ll just quickly say it’s a medieval-type story full of Lords and Kings and Knights and treachery up the wazoo. It’s bloody, shocking and… well, bloody shocking! One of the main families in the story is the Starks of Winterfell. They live in the north where it’s crazy cold and their family’s words are, “Winter is Coming.” Ya gotta love the Starks, every single one of ‘em. And, being a comic book geek, it got me wondering when Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) was going to make an appearance. Continue reading
