Just when you thought Friday couldn’t get any better! Today, June 1st, is National Donut Day. Nope, we’re not kidding. Since 1938, the first Friday of every June has been celebrated as the official date to sing praise to the deep-fried deliciousness we call donuts. While you can’t use it as a reason to call off work, you’ll be happy to know that select donut shops nationwide are honoring the “hole-y” holiday by giving customers free donuts!
Stop by a Dunkin’ Donuts and you’ll score a free donut with every Dunkin’ Donuts beverage purchase. Krispy Kreme will also be giving away a free donut at participating US and Canada locations. Got a Tim Hortons nearby? “Like” their Facebook page and you’ll find a coupon for a free donut with any purchase.
While we’re pretty sure this is a one per customer kind of deal, who’s to say you can’t hit more than one donut shop? We’re just sayin’.
