It can be hard to figure out the newest toy craze before those toys sell out… everywhere. You can’t tickle Elmo if you can never find the little bugger! But we at JoeShopping have a pretty good hunch at what this holiday’s toy craze might be, and we figured you’d like to know too — meet the Sing-A-Ma-Jigs from Mattel.
These adorable little dolls are getting buzz everywhere, so if you see one, you might want to buy it just in case. A single Sing-A-Ma-Jig can talk and sing a song in its adorable voice (think of it as a less annoying version of the Teletubbies) while its mouth moves. Each different colored Sing-A-Ma-Jig sings a different song, but the real draw is when you get two or more dolls together… because they sing together!
They don’t do full songs, but they do harmonize — and the more Sing-A-Ma-Jigs you get together, the more notes they sing! And they actually sound good, too. There are at least eight different dolls available, ranging between $8 and $15, each in a different color and singing a different song. And there are more dolls in more colors being released all the time!
Here’s your guide to what’s out there now:
Orange: “On Top of Old Smokey”
Yellow: “This Little Light of Mine”
Mint Green: “It’s Raining It’s Pouring”
Light Blue: “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow”
White Easter Bunny: “Here Comes Peter Cottontail”
Alas, there are no “Bad Romance” or “Tik Tok” Sing-A-Ma-Jigs, but that’s probably for the best. At the very least, we promise you it’ll be a lot easier to listen to these guys sing all day instead of hearing Elmo’s maniacal giggle.

I wonder what’s the maximum of Sing-ama-jigs that can sing together?
Is fear a normal reaction to these dolls?
We have one of these…. terrifying *shiver*
