Scarves are a perfect accessory to add to your wardrobe during the fall and winter time. They keep you warm and fashionable at the same time! Believe it or not scarves have come a long way. Today they come in multiple colors, sizes and styles that easily blend in with a variety of different outfits. Like additional accessories such as jewelry and belts, scarves are great to stock up on so that you can easily switch up a look and add a little bit of style on a cold and dreary day when it’s needed the most.

Last year I embraced my new hobby of crocheting and created a few scarves for family members as Christmas gifts. They were grateful for a gift that would keep them warm! Plus it was very therapeutic for me and it made me realize just how many different styles are available to buy and to make! I would highly suggest scarves for a gift or just buying a few to keep you warm when it’s cold outside.

Did you know most of your body heat escapes from your head? Keeping your body warm is important to keep the chill away and prevent you from getting sick. The good news is that scarves can keep you warm and in style at the same time! It’s not very often that a beauty item is multifunctional when it comes to your health! Let’s take a look at some of the scarves I think would be fabulous with an outfit.

1. Pashmina Watercolor Cashmere Scarf- Make a fashion statement with a beautiful scarf that will remind you of the spring time to come during the cold winter months. This lovely scarf was hand painted with swaying pink peach blossoms!

2. The North Face Cable Fish Scarf - I’m loving the pattern on this scarf and it comes in multiple colors, too, such as purple, grey, black, and white. Wrap it around your neck to keep the warmpth inside your body and feel all snuggly and warm. In fact, it’s made of out fabric that will keep you very very warm: 50% acrylic – 40% wool – and 10% alpaca.

3. Luxury Lane Women’s Orange Pure Silk Long Scarf – Well of course this scarf is beautiful because it is designed with a rainbow of colors and will definitely add a pop of color to your outfit! Plus it’s orange and I’ve been inspired to add orange to my outfits more frequently lately. Orange will definitely blend in with the fall colors if you live in a climate where the trees are currently beginning to change colors and eventually the leafs fall off of their branches.

4. Horny Toad Mixologist Scarf (for Men) – The title of this scarf cracks me up! If the guys are in need of a masculine brick-colored scarf, I think this is a great selection! Pair it with a leather jacket and jeans for a stylish outfit.

The idea with scarves is that you can play up or play down an outfit by either sticking with a neutral scarf or a bright scarf depending on the look you are going after. Unless you would like to go all out with color, which is fine by me! You know I love a lot of color, so I’d rather wear a black top and a pair of jeans with a scarf such as the Luxury Lane scarf. I love a pop of color and orange would be fun right now! That would be a wonderful outfit that I’d love to pull off, especially if I was headed to the mountains to shop at a place like Park City, UT. That sounds like a blast!

Whatever you decide to buy, buy it with confidence and you can justify spending the $ because you know it will be a great purchase that keeps you warm. You don’t want to get sick, now, do you?! ;)

So what do you think of the stylish scarves? I’m thinking I can’t wait to head to the mall and shop because I’m feeling rather cold right now! Oh wait…we already have our own shopping center here on JoeShopping.com! SCORE!
