Finding a great pair of sunglasses that also look good on you is sometimes a tough task, especially if you’re looking for a designer name. The price tags associated with the top brand names will usually run you a couple hundred dollars (you’ll be looking at even more if you need prescription lenses). However there is an alternative out there for shoppers looking for brand name, great looking sunglasses, without the designer price.

In the world of fast fashion, our wardrobes are often teeming with clothes we wear once or twice, and then they never see the light of day again. Either we forget about them, or a new trend has arrived which we are lusting after – so last season’s clothes get relegated to the back of the wardrobe.
A lot of us recycle by donating our old clothing to charities which is great if you are definitely never going to wear the clothes again. Go 8-Bit for the New Super Mario Bros. 2 Release
A brand new video game is rolling out of Nintendo headquarters in just a few weeks. The New Super Mario Bros. 2, exclusive to the 3DS, will released on August 19. The game sees Mario making his way to Bowser’s castle yet again to rescue the kidnapped Princess Peach, only this time, Mario’s ultimate challenge will be to collect some mega coins along the way (one million, to be exact).
Excited gamers can call dibs now for the hot new game at online stores like Amazon and GameStop (who is also throwing some exclusive swag with each advanced purchase)!
Although much of the newest installment is reminiscent of the original Super Mario Bros, it’s plain to see Mario has certainly grown over the years (and we don’t mean by way of a red mushroom)! The first Super Mario Bros, which burst out onto the video game scene 27 years ago, saw our heroic plumber as a simple 8-bit character, a big difference from today’s high- flying 2.5D golden Mario! And even though he’s been doubling in graphics ever since, the star of one of the best-selling video games of all time still has a special place in our video game playing hearts.
If you still love retro Mario as much as we do, here’s a look at a few pixelated products that gets back to bit basics.

Student Savings: Get Ready for School and Be a Frugal Student
Since summer will soon be coming to an end (sad to say but true), it’s time to start thinking of ways that you can cut back and get ready for school to begin! I myself am no longer a student, but when I was a student in college it was certainly expensive. If you’re able to go to a community college as opposed to a private university that certainly is helpful, but sometimes you end up getting an education where it best suits you and your preferred major.
Since books and many other supplies are SO expensive, it gets frustrating sometimes in regards to what to cut back on and when to splurge. As a student, things can especially get expensive so it’s up to you to hold on to your hat and do your best. Looking back I wish I would been a bit smarter in my decisions so that I could to cut back more. This would have been better as opposed to spending money on things I really didn’t need. When you’re a student this is when you should start socking away money (especially if you have a part time job) because after college you’ll certainly need it! But enough about the expenses of being a student and how I should have been better at saving my money, here are some ideas on how to save as a student. You can learn from my mistakes and my wise decisions too!
Taking a Cue from The Limited – Dresses that Wow
Lately I have become obsessed with one style of clothing: dresses! I just cannot get enough of them and the fun patterns and colors that are available this summer. Bright bold colors are “in” right now, as are fun flirty shapes and styles. I like wearing dresses because I feel really feminine and super comfortable. They are so easy to grab and wear on hot summer days. Here’s a picture of my most recent dress find: an adorable bright printed maxi dress from TJ Maxx. I’m in love. : )
One store with a great selection of dresses that often gets left out is The Limited. I have only started shopping there more recently because I used to think that they only sold “fancy” professional looking clothing. I’m a nurse…I wear scrubs all day, so I have never needed office type clothes. I was so wrong, though. They have lots of casual pieces and tons of fun looks, especially in their dress choices. Keep reading and see what you think.
Play and Be Playful in a Relaxing Romper
Lately I’ve really been into rompers. Even though I’m considered short, well, at least by my standards (I’m 5’5″), I still love to wear a comfy romper. It doesn’t matter where I wear my romper – whether it’s at the beach, lounging around at home, or lounging on an outside chair like this lovely model is doing in the picture to the left, a romper is a versatile piece of clothing that you definitely should own.
Rompers feel comfy because they usually are made out of cotton or terry cloth, both which are very soft and relaxing materials. But the good news is that a romper also can be dressed up with a pair of pumps for some added height and style. So don’t be afraid to hit the town while wearing a romper and sporting a new pair of sparkly pumps. Rompers are great for either dressing up or dressing down – let your mood fuel and create a fun outfit!
Here are some rompers that have caught my eye:
Keep it Fun – Add a Cardigan from Target
Class, today I want to talk about something that we all need to know about: layering! Layering is the perfect way to take a simple outfit and make it fun and interesting.
My favorite way to incorporate layering is with cardigans because they go with absolutely everything and are lightweight. I tend to always be hot (hello, I live in the South!) and so I really cannot wear anything too heavy. Cardigans are the perfect in-between because they add a little coverage without adding too much clothing.
I love Target for their great choice of cardigans (and for a ton of other things). Neutral cardigans are a necessity, think black or white, since they can be paired with any and every color underneath. However, don’t be afraid to go with something a little more exciting. When shopping for cardigans, think bright colors, stripes and patterns.
