My JoeShopping Sesame Street characters arrived yesterday! We went to dinner at Pizzaria Uno (Tuesday is kids night there!) and I brought the package with me. Just when the kids were getting antsy waiting for their food, I brought out the unopened package!'
The kids were amazed that something had arrived from Hong Kong. They opened it and played with the little figures all through dinner.

Nice. I remember they used to be worse than Pizza Hut! You'd order a pan pizza and it actually looked like it was sitting in soup with all that grease!

Yeah, man... I had the Roasted Eggplant, Spinach, and Feta pizza with sun-dried & plum tomatoes, carmelized onions, mozzarella and pesto on 5-grain crust. Good stuff and not like the old days.

So tell I'm thinking about the Kindle Fire. My wife wants a reader, so I was just going to get her the Nook. But from what the reviews say, it sounds like I need splurge for the Fire. Would it be a waste of money to get it for her if she's going to use it mostly as a reader? She's got a little Netbook that she carries around for Word processing and Internet.

I've never had a reader (just a laptop) and picked up the Fire. I LOVE it. I"m using it mainly as an e-reader actually. It's a perfect size and definitely a bit lighter to hold than the NOOK. The apps and web interface are great and at on of fun too. If you're getting her a Nook Color, I say save a little money and get the Fire. If you're looking to purely have an e-reader, than get the low-end Nook or Kindle.

My son's a huge Lego fan and a huge Mario fan ... so this K'nex set was perfect. As a 9-year-old, it took him about 20 minutes to put it together. He raced it around the house, smashing it a number of times, then putting it together again. Definitely a great toy!

Damn. I wish it was made of Lego, though, and not K'nex. I love K'nex when it has the normal crazy pieces. But when it's just the Lego-style bricks, it's just all right.

Hi Dave, Here's what I brought from Germany. I brought my son two packs of cigs - one called Gauloises, made in France, and one pack of Marlboro with the German stamps on them. Son says it's the best gift ever from a trip. I brought hubby a card with a photo of the Berlin wall and a plastic container attached with a piece of the wall inside. (July 12 at 3:07pm)
