A Sweet Summer Birthday Outfit

Today is my Daddy's birthday and my family and I are going out for an amazing meal at one of my favorite restaurants (his too) called Flemmings. They have the most amazing food and it's so delicious! What I love about birthdays is that I am able to get all dressed up and hopefully go to a fun and nice restaurant!

August and September are our family's birthday months. Later in the month my brother is turning 21 and then in September my boyfriend and I both have birthdays as well. They are actually only one week a part. I'm looking forward to being in CA for both of our birthdays and hopefully we can go out and do something fun! Last year I went to Disneyland on my birthday and this year I'd like to go to a nice restaurant perhaps.

So this got me thinking about the types of dresses that I liked to wear out to a nice dinner. I came across this dress from Bebe and thought I would accessorize it would some fabulous jewelry items. I love the cut of the dress and the red color. The dropped neck is a little bold and daring, so perhaps I would put a cami underneath. But over all the style is very fashion worthy and eye catching.

I love the description of this Bebe dress on the Amazon.com website. I didn't want to re-word it, so here you go: "Paint the town red with a flowy, semi-sheer silhouette and mass goddess appeal in this bebe maxi dress. Features plunging neckline, double-banded detail at waist and romantic print. Maximize with your favorite jewels and platform sandals." I couldn't agree more!

Hot Topic offers some killer shoes. They are made out of black faux leather and are platform pumps that feature a flirty open toe, sandal inspired straps, and for support, an ankle strap and buckle. If I went walking in these pumps I still would be afraid of falling because I don't wear heels quite that often, but the ankle straps would help me feel a little bit more secure that I hopefully wouldn't be going anywhere. ;)

Now, for jewelry I think this Cleopatra like dress needs some gold influence, similar to the picture of the model in the Bebe dress. I came across these Gold Indian Beaded Bangles and I love the color influence in them. Plus, they are only $6.99 for a set of 9 bangles from the World Market and you can't be that price. However, I really love the look of the Kendra Scott Lucca Filigree Bangles. Of course I have to go for the $90 dollar accessories, right?! Well, a girl can dream in gold.

As well as having gold bangles accessorized on my outfit, I would also like to tie in gold earrings. I'm really starting to like this outfit now! I'm especially loving this pair: Yellow Gold Plated Sterling Silver Twisted Earrings.

I think my outfit is now complete. All I need is a fancy dinner location and my boyfriend! :)

What do you think of my birthday ensemble?

Do you like to dress up for your birthday?
