1. Who may use JoeShopping Rewards
JoeShopping Rewards is open to registered members of JoeShopping.com who are physically located in and legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia) and Canada (excluding Quebec), and who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of reward redemption.
JoeShopping, Inc. reserves the right to block access to JoeShopping Rewards and JoeShopping.com from IP addresses not located in the United States or Canada.
JoeShopping, Inc's employees/independent contractors and their immediate families (spouse, parents and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and step-children) who share the same residence at least three (3) months out of the year are not eligible.
All JoeShopping Rewards offers require that you redeem a specified number of your spendable JoePoints, which are points earned by using JoeShopping.com while logged in to your account. Details on how to earn JoePoints can be found on the How to Earn JoePoints page. Some reward offers may have restrictions on who can redeem them, including country, age, etc. Many reward offers will also have requirements in addition to points. For example, you could be required to: select the merchant offering the reward as a "Favorite"; be a registered user of JoeShopping.com for a minimum number of days; log in to JoeShopping.com on a minimum number of days; have a minimum number of friends or followers; subscribe to a newsletter from the merchant offering the reward. In addition, some reward offers could be available to specific, pre-selected members only.
Individuals may have only one JoeShopping account. You may also have one or more accounts for business purposes but these accounts may not redeem rewards.
2. Spendable JoePoints vs. Total JoePoints
Your total JoePoints increases every time you earn points and generally do not decrease. Spendable JoePoints are the portion of your JoePoints which you have not spent on offers. Every time you redeem an offer, your spendable JoePoints decrease. Only your Spendable JoePoints can be redeemed for JoeShopping Rewards.
3. Redemption Limits
Each JoeShopping Rewards offer may be redeemed only once per member unless otherwise stated. Additionally, some offers may be redeemed only once per household. In any one calendar year, members will not be able to redeem $600 or more of Rewards having a stated value (gift certificates and products; not coupons) until they have submitted an IRS W-9 form and JoeShopping, Inc. has accepted this form.
4. Violations and Penalties
The following are violations of the JoeShopping Rewards program and may result in your losing Spendable JoePoints or having your account banned/closed. Decisions regarding these violations and penalties are at the sole discretion of JoeShopping, Inc.
- Posting low quality content
- Referring yourself in order to earn Refer-A-Friend points
- Abusing the Refer-A-Friend system (referring fake people, asking people to sign up so you can get referral points and then never use the site again, etc.)
- Redeeming JoePoints in more than one account on JoeShopping.com
- Creating multiple non-business accounts on JoeShopping.com for the purpose of abusing the JoePoints system.
- Submitting any purposely inaccurate information, committing fraud or falsifying information in connection with your JoeShopping account
In addition to the above violations, any user behavior that JoeShopping, Inc. feels is harmful to the JoePoints system, the JoeShopping Rewards program, or JoeShopping.com may result in the loss of Spendable JoePoints or the banning/closing of your account. If your account is closed you will lose all of your JoePoints.
5. Ways to earn JoePoints
There are many ways to earn JoePoints. Please see the How to Earn JoePoints page for the current list. This list may be modified at any time without notice (both adding and removing actions that can earn you JoePoints), so check it regularly.
6. JoePoints have no cash value.
7. Reward offers may change at any time without notice. The number of JoePoints required to redeem an offer may change at any time without notice.
8. Remedies for problems with rewards
If there's a problem with a code we provide to you, we may either provide you with a new code or refund the JoePoints you spent to redeem that offer. Please contact us at email@example.com with any issues you encounter in regards to the JoeShopping Rewards program.
9. Limitation of Liability
When you redeem an offer you agree that JoeShopping, Inc's liability is limited to the JoePoints you redeemed to get an offer. In no event will JoeShopping, Inc. be liable for the value of the reward (coupon, gift certificate, product, etc) even if the problem is the fault of JoeShopping, Inc. Additionally, you agree that the company offering the Reward is not liable for the value of the coupon, gift certificate, product, etc. Rewards cannot be returned for cash, credit, or any other form of compensation. Neither JoeShopping nor the Merchant is responsible for lost or stolen Codes.
You also agree that JoeShopping, Inc. is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information provided about the deal you are redeeming; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the redemption process; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of JoeShopping Rewards or the processing of Rewards; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from member's use of JoeShopping Rewards.
Member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless JoeShopping.com, JoeShopping, Inc., its affiliates, independent contractors, employees and officers from any and all claims, losses, damages, and expenses relating to the use of JoeShopping.com or JoeShopping Rewards.
Members are required to provide an accurate name, physical address and email address in order to redeem an offer. We will not sell this information. However, this information might be provided to the company that provided the offer you redeemed and the company might contact you. When this is the case we will try to alert you via the "Offer Terms & Conditions" provided on the JoeShopping Rewards offer page. If you redeem an offer that needs to be mailed to you, either JoeShopping, Inc. or the company providing the product will use the address you provide during the offer redemption.
12. Modification of Terms
JoeShopping reserves the right to discontinue or modify this Agreement at any time without prior notice. In the event of a substantial material change to this Agreement, JoeShopping will post those changes to the Site and may notify its subscribers by sending emails to users' email addresses indicating that changes have been made. This notice may or may not detail the exact nature of the changes. Changes will be effective upon their posting to the Site. Your continued use of this site after a modification of terms constitutes acceptance of and agreement to those modifications. Therefore, you should carefully review this Agreement from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any such changes.
